Today was fun, other than the fact that my knee is still pained.
The morning was fairly uneventful. I cleaned up a bit and did a few loads of towels. (Mom comes home from Vegas tomorrow, so I'm trying to keep the place in order here.)
I got my drug testing information via FedEx today. I'm going to a clinic tomorrow morning to get that done. Juts gotta figure out where it is...
Liss had physical therapy, then we went out shopping.
I like what I got. My first purchase was a new wallet from the mall. I wanted something with more card space and places I could tuck recipts, and I found a nice one in the mall. It's one of those Coach knock-off things, but it was subtle looking so I don't mind much. (It's white on white with a warm brown leather detail, so it's classy and nice and matches my stuff.)
Keep your eye on
the_odd_feed, I posted a photo there of my purchases in case you want to see what this stuff all looks like.
Headed to a candy store after the mall and I got a bag of mix-n-match yummies.
Then to Target where I wrapped up my shopping, eliminating the need to make Staples/Dominicks stops. I found a clearanced blue sunglasses case, a pack of felt-tipped pens, and some cilantro for the rabbit.
I went for an iTrip but wussed out at the price ($40). I think I might go back and get it tomorrow though, we'll see. And to Dominicks for better greens for the rabbit.
So now I'm watching What Not to Wear and feel like I need to clean.
And eat candy.

Today has seriously been the best day ever.
It started with a HIRING by frickin' TY INC.
Then Liss got home from the last of her finals and we went to the zoo.
The ride there was fun too, we squealed about our futures and my job and had a HILARIOUS moment when a bright orange construction ribbon got caught on the front of my car and trailed up past Liss's window. We were all shouting and flailing and she eventually rolled her window down and managed to pull it off. We laughed for bout five minutes at that whole situation.
The zoo was AMAZING. The weather was fantastic-- a bit cool but not too cool or too hot, it was a mix of cloudy and sunny, and the animals were great. There were a few school groups but once one PM hit, they all left and the place was EMPTY.
We got to pet the rays first off! Omg they were so amazing. I adore rays. And they feel so soft, EEE.
Okay, okay, more of that under the cut with the photos. Not too much to mention though.
( Zoophotos! )
So tomorrow, I'm totally going on a victory shopping spree. I feel like I may be jumping the gun, but it's pretty in the bag. I'm psyched. I need to make a list of all the crap I want to buy.

TODAY IS AN AMAZING DAY, FRIENDS.
I woke up at 8:30 or so to get ready cos Liss and I are going to the zoo. I look great. I'm psyched.
At about 8:50, I got a call from TY INC AND I HAVE A JOB OFFER!!!
I'M SO PSYCHED!!
It's for assisting the designers, which I find PERFECT. It doesn't sound like it's too fantastically like... draining. I assume I'm on coffee duty and I'll be learning from them and doing whatever anyone needs and I am JUST FREAKIN' PEACHY-ASS-KEEN WITH THAT.
She's overnighting me the drug testing information and they'll start the background check, so assuming I pass those (whoaaa, I sure hope I'm okaaaaay....), I start on Monday the 19th.
I AM SO BEYOND MYSELF.
TODAY IS MY DAY, PEOPLE.
I gotta call dad.
I can't wait to tell the entire internet when I get home from the zoo.
OH YEAH, AND IT'S ONE WEEK TILL I SEE EDDIE IZZARD.
LIFE = GOOD.

I got another email from Tony saying that they didn't get a chance to call me due to paperwork. (Good sign, I hope!)
I replied back that I'll be at Brookfield Zoo tomorrow, but I'll be reachable on my cell, otherwise I'll be home all day Friday.
Yay news!
But yes, Liss and I are going to the zoo tomorrow and it should be totally fun. I need a day out. I was hoping for a day I didn't have to worry, but now I'll be checking my cell like a fiend and Liss gets to put up with it XD
Sorry if I'm post-whoring a little today.

Oh dear Lord.
So I called Tony and got his voicemail.
Left a message, am waiting for him to call me back.
While waiting, I got a call for an interview at the Chiropractic place.
It's scheduled for Monday at 5:25.
THE WORLD IS MY OYSTER AND I AM SO CONFUSED.
I guess we'll see if and when Tony calls me back and play it by ear.
I have a feeling I'm going to spend an hour or so in the tub tonight with some classical music and deep thought.
(For the curious, I AM definately leaning towards Ty, but I need that call from them first!!)

My back hurts a lot lately. I really need it cracked or a deep tissue massage, anything. Volunteers?
Anywho, HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!
I'm making enchiladas for dinner tonight, and mom's making the margaritas. Ole!
Anyone else using today as an excuse for good Mexican food?
I've done a lot and very little today.
I was on call right away for Kelley, who met back up with Jake this morning. I don't know details because she hasn't come home yet, but through texts it sounds like they're alright. Last I heard, they were going somewhere to eat dinner. I'm still wary after what he put her through, but I'm waiting on the details.
I also had to get my mom's boarding passes at southwest.com. I was a few minutes late, but I think I got her a good pass.
I also started a puzzle (which is DEFINATELY NOT helping my back...) and coloring Mike's old commission in photoshop (which is also not helping. He's lucky I'm nice or I'd charge him extra for this).
I'll probably start dinner in about an hour. The recipe is a bit weird, so I hope I'll be doing it right.
I wanna do more puzzle. My poor back.

Doing-stuff-wise, today is boring as hell.
Content-wise, holy crap.
First of all, another story that requires background. Okay so Kelly. I met her in 2003. In either late 2004 or early 04, she met a guy named Jake in an art course. They got along more than perfectly and became inseparable. I even met Jake one Christmas when we'd gone down to Florida (they met us at Disney).
In 2005, Jake just totally up and vanished. Left Kelley without a word. She later found out he ran off to Germany with an exchange student they'd had. Kelley went to pieces for a long time after that. He's STILL been haunted her, though she's just recently, as in two weeks recently, decided it was time to move the hell on.
So last night she went out with an old friend and one of his friends.
While walking down the sidewalk to wherever they were going, who does she pass but Jake.
She spun around and grabbed him.
Long story short, they're going to meet tomorrow morning so she can get some answers and let him know exactly what he did to her.
What from there, neither of us can even guess. How do you even COPE with something like that?
Then a few hours later, I found out that an 'internet famous' type person passed away yesterday. I doubt any of you know her so I'm omitting details, but it's still like "whoa." I feel bad for her friends and family. (She actually worked for someone I knows dad, too. She found out through me. I felt kind of bad.)
SO THAT'S THAT.
Now if only this weird little headache would go away.
Content-wise, holy crap.
