Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers out there!

Today was alright.

Waking up to stormy weather was nice.
Unfortunately, my family is all at their wits end for whatever reason. My dad won't stop flipping out and getting all anxious about absolutely nothing and that drives mom crazy so she starts yelling.

Whatever people, damn, can we RELAX?

Either way, they all got their acts somewhat together and we went to the IMAX to see Speed Racer.

It was cute! I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. It's fun to look at and OH MY is it COLORFUL.

Spritle and Chim Chim stole the show though. They were hilarious.
John Goodman was perfectly cast.
I could listen to Racer X be all bitchy and dark for hours.

Holy God the flashing and quick cuts though. I'm surprised I don't have a headache from the visual intensity. It was really cool though, interestingly done.

There is stuff I didn't really like about the movie, for instance, Speed needed to be more likable than he was, and that was kind of weird. And some of the visuals looked like they were supposed to be 3D but weren't. If they had been, that would have taken it up quite a few notches on the Awesome scale.

All in all though I'd say I had fun.

KFC for dinner is going to tear up my insides after all of that popcorn.

OH, and to randomly note: the way we went to the IMAX is the route I'll be taking to work. I like the highway I'll be on for most of the ride. It's really pretty, actually. Which is weird to say about a highway. And it goes past IKEA, so Liss and I have to go there sometime. AND it's a quicker route to Zero Gravity than the old route. (The IMAX exit dumped us off right there.)

Okay, shutting up now.

Speed Racer on IMAX would be amazing ::drools:: And I fangirled for Racer X and Taejo. XD And I agree, Speed should have been made more likeable but overall I thought it was pretty good.

I liked the "Whatever you do do not open that door." ::Pops goes to open the door:: lol

Omg seriously Racer X was for the win. The voice was perfect.

I know right? He had like, two emotions, thinking and slightly happy. C'mon, Speed.

LOL I loved that kid. He was great. Good chimp too.
